About Sister's for Your Journey Sessions, Monday, March 22, 2010; LET'S GROW TOGETHER IN CHRIST-- We are happy to announce that Sister's 4 Your Journey will begin meeting again. Join Prophetess Elias with other good-hearted women gettingtogether once a month to develop lasting relationships through encouragement, accountability, guidance and prayer so that all members experience life transformation through Christ.   We start our meetings in group prayer, by praising, asking, confessing and thanking God. We do encourage women in these meetings  to share their thoughts, feelings, struggles and joys while applying Biblical principles in their daily lives; and most of all find sisters for your journey.

"Is Anything Too Hard for God?!"

When I think about Jesus and all He has done for me, through me and to me?. MY SOUL REJOICES AND SAYS, ?THANK YOU, JESUS!!!? It is so good to be able to welcome you by reaching out to your through your screen on today. God is an awesome God? YES HE IS!!!! When I begin to decide rather I was going to do My Friday Story of My Friday Testimony my mind immediately flooded with the blessings of the Lord that has been upon my life. And I could not resist but to glorify His holy name before all man? HALLELUJUAH!!!!

 As some may know my daughter received a letter from People 2 People (offers extraordinary, life-changing educational travel opportunities for students, athletes, educators, and professionals. When I received the letter; I kind of blew it off thinking, ?yeah whatever this is just another piece of junk mail, waiting for the opportunity to sale you something. So I told myself that I would just sit it aside for now.

 Well months went by and I was in a discussion with a close sister in the gospel; and she happened to bring up this topic of discussion on how her daughter being invited to the same opportunity. So of course the letter I had sat aside so long ago came to my remembrance; I begin to think maybe this is not a scam as I thought. (one reason I doubted the letter was because m daughter was not doing very this year in school. So I just knew this opportunity ?had? to be some kind of joke.) Anyway, after the phone call I made myself a note to retrieve that letter and really start to investigate this org.

 I must say I am glad I did. The day I found the letter the expiration date to enroll was like a week away. So I had to immediately get online and filled out the required info to meet with the committee. Finally, we went to the invitation and the speaker expounded more about the series of events that was going to take place. THEN CAME THE OUCHER! (As my man-child says? ha!) Cost!!! OUCH! She begins to instruct us to look-up the trip, in which our child had been an invited. Well, my beloved one was selected to be student ambassador representing USA in six countries including, FRANCE, ENGLAND, IRELAND, WALES, NETHERLANDS AND BELGIUM for 20 days; in summer 2009. (Yeah, you thinking the same thing =)) It was thousands of dollars to send her there. It?s funny because when I found out how much the trip was my daughter looked immediately at me. (As to see what my outward reaction would be) Thank God I keep my countenance pleasant; but baby I tell you inside I was like Homer Simpson? ?DOH!? *LOL*

 Immediately the Holy Spirit begins to minister to me, ?Do you believe that I am able to bring this to pass, do you not think I will restrain anything good for those that believe and trust in me?? I said, ?well Lord since now you spoke on our behalf, I rolling with you. So I proclaim if it is your will, you WILL provide!!!!? And that was that, I told my daughter by faith, she was going to this trip. Did not even has a tithe of what it cost to send this Chile on this trip. HA (I am just crazy enough to trust God at His word.) So the deadline to have the money is for registration was like 30 days away; and I had noooo ideal where this money was going to come from. Well two weeks from the deadline, I was prompt in my spirit to file my taxes for the year. Which I usually fill out my own tax form; (which is one of the things I major in Account/Finance) but, I had been sooo busy I really had overlooked filing-- in a timely manner.

 Anyway, to make a long story short, I obeyed the voice of the Shepard; and allow a tax center to electronically file it for me. And I saw how much I was getting back is the amount I needed to send Tank on her trip -- ?Wow, God really?? I thought. (Shy of $499.00 + some addt?l charges that had been put on it for airfare fees) So I begin to say, Lord if you cover the majority of this trip I know you are able to continually to do a good work to complete this thing to the end.? No later than a 3 to 4 weeks or sooner; another unexpected lump sum of money was deposited in my account? that cover not only the remaining portion but also gave me some press down, shaking together and running over blessings to continually be a blessing to others.

 You talking about public shouting, I feel sorry for the folks that thought I was a little Bunker?s? HAHAHAHAHA It would be a sad day in my life to not stop & drop Him a praise right were His blessing manifested. I have three levels of praise Before, during and after? LOOOOL!!!!

 The testimony really was not the money, the true testimony is that my daughter has been a witness to the goodness of God. And it is my prayer that this did something to her faith. (She even stated that she would not ever imagine to be selected as a Student Ambassador representing her country.) I state this, ?God takes the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. People (even myself at times---) did not think you would excel but God has confound us and strengthen even my faith to know that possibilities or limitless when God is in it!!!! MY, MY, MY!!!

 Many wonder why I praise Him like I do?. I know I do not deserve how he treats me --- (His bride) But God?s love is not on a timeline, he does not just love you up to this point and then threw in the towel on you --- like man!!! But nothing shall separate His love for me or you.

 I have to close there before I get myself start (charging up in my spirit) LOOOOL!!!! My prayer for you and all others is that you too will also continue to find a secure, joyful, radiant, and peaceful life in Christ. That He came and died for with you in mind ? and now He lives that you too can live a new abundant life through Him.

I get very good questions in regards to walking with the Lord, everyone that ask questions is important to me rather you are sitting in the pews or the privacy of your home!

I will not stand before God and say that I have the answer to everything in regards to your personal walk with the Lord, however, I’ve answered as many as the Lord has given me and permissioned me to below.

Check back as I add a new issue monthly through either a written blog or Q&A vlogs, to answer any questions that you may have. (So ask me questions and I’ll do my best to put it in a upcoming blog or film the answers.)

(Also, I like to give a shoutback and thank you so much for all the wonderful comments and encouragement you give me daily. You will be remember for all eternity!)

QUESTION:

I hear many people saying preach The Good News, exactly what is this... good news?

ANSWER:

The good news of the Gospel is that God sent Jesus to take our judgment for us (Romans 5:8). The Gospel is the salvation of God in action. It describes how we enter into God’s salvation and how that salvation continues to work in our lives. Read Romans 1:16-17. It is from God (2 Cor.5:17-18; Rom.11:36) It is by faith (Phil.3:8-9; Hebrews 11:6; 4:2) It is from first to last (Eph.1:13; Rom.16:25) "...all over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing..." Colossians 1:6.

QUESTION:How could Jesus have been a representative of God and man explain this to me, please?!

ANSWER:The bible says, "The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word..." Hebrews 1:3 (see also Colossians 1:15-17).

You see, Jesus existed eternally before He took on human nature (Philippians 2:6-7). As the Word of God (John 1:1), he communicated the heart of God to mankind. In Jesus, we see what God the Father is like.John 14:7-11 (1:18) In Jesus we not only see the perfect image of God, we also see the perfect image of man, as God intended us to be. He didn’t just take on human form, He completely identified with us. He shared totally in our humanity.Philippians 2:6-8 (Romans 8:3)

During his life on earth, Jesus experienced all the troubles that we face, and so understands how we feel (Matt.8:17; Heb.4:15). He became the example for us. In His words, His actions and His character He showed us how to live a life pleasing to God (1 Pet.4:1-2; 2:21-25).

• Jesus opened the door to heaven for us, because:
• Jesus died for you (Heb.2:9; Isaiah 53:5-6)
• Jesus was raised to life for you (Eph.2:4-6)

Your part is simply just linked with Jesus!

When you accepted Jesus into your life, God forever linked you with Jesus - with His righteousness, with His authority, with His character, with His life (Colossians 3:1-4).

QUESTION:

How do we get victory in Jesus dying on the cross what does that really mean? And how was that work finished?

ANSWER:The Cross has won freedom for you:

• Freedom from Satan’s power (Col.1:13; 2:15)
• Freedom from past sins (John 8:36; Col.2:13)
• Freedom from your old self (Rom.6:6-7,14)
• Freedom from sickness (Matthew 8:17)
• Freedom from the curse (Galatians 3:13)
• Freedom from judgment (Hebrews 9:27-28)
• Freedom from everlasting death (John 3:16)

Furthermore the bible says, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me" Galatians 2:20. When Jesus died on the Cross, God counted his death as your death. Your old life was nailed to the Cross together with Jesus. When Jesus was hanging on the Cross, God saw you hanging on the Cross in Christ. Christ’s death was the death of your old life, so that you could begin a new life in Christ. As a Christian, you too can say:

"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world" Galatians 6:14 (see also 2 Cor.5:17).

The wonder of the Cross is this, God’s love and holiness intersected at the Cross. His righteous judgment demanded the death penalty for sin. But his love met his own demands.

Only the Cross fully satisfied (pacifies) God’s righteous requirements. This is God’s wonderful wisdom. The bible says it better than I could ever, "For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified...so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power" 1 Corinthians 2:2,5.

QUESTION:LaTonya, why is faith so important and why is it impossible to please God without it? Most importantly exactly what is "true" faith?

ANSWER:Faith is an indispensible part of God’s plan of salvation. To understand we must see what happened in the original temptation of mankind (Gen.3:1-70). When Adam sinned, he stepped out of God-dependence into independence. This is why God now places such a high priority on faith. Faith presupposes total dependence on God. This dependence on God is expressed in every step of faith. Heb.11:1.

Faith means having trust, assurance or confidence in another person or that person’s words. Having faith in God involves an exchange of trust from self to him, from relying on one source of knowledge (our five senses) to a higher source of knowledge (God’s Word). "We live by faith, not by sight" 2 Cor.5:7.

We are challenged by the Word of God to advance beyond our five senses, beyond our past experiences and beyond our past capacities. This is the life of faith which each one of us is called to - where "nothing is impossible (see Luke 1:37; Matthew 17:20).

With faith atleast, walking as a believer, there comes "THE" trial of faith. Read 1 Peter 1:6-7 and James 1:2-4. This may not be what you want to hear but, can I speak truth here. Faith is not faith unless there is an obstacle involved. You see this is called a "trial of faith".

It works this way:

• A word comes from God (Rom.10:17; Josh.1:8)
• You obey that word (James 2:17; 1:22-25)
• A crisis of faith comes (Romans 4:16-21)
• God brings the answer (Jam.1:12;Heb.6:13-15) Read 1 John 5:4.

Faith itself is the victory. Even while you are going through a trial of faith, with the answer not yet in sight, your faith is the victory that sustains you. Faith is the foundation

for the whole Christian life (Rom.1:17; Gal.2:20). Meaning even if God does not rescue you from your fiery furnace, do you believe He still God?!

QUESTION:I hear people cast out devil's that are saved, how can this be so??? Can a Christian be demon possessed after they truly give their life over to the Lord?

ANSWER:And that is how he finished the work on the cross for you!
